Top Care Tips For Your Silver Jewellery

Silver jewellery can be a chore to keep on top of. Knowing the right things to do is absolutely essential and maintaining a brilliant shine is possible with the right cleaning and maintenance routine.

Caring For Your Silver Jewellery

Silver is one of those items that remain timeless and rarely fluctuate in value. It will never go out of fashion and learning to care for yours can be one of the best things you’ll ever do for it.
If you are looking to build up your collection to get the ball rolling, we recommend some beautiful sterling silver rings. They can be a quicker way to get your collection growing as you mix and match with other items you may already have. Unlike dainty silver jewellery, they can be more standalone and require less combination and matching. So, if you are thinking about how to care for your silver in the most optimal way, keep reading for more details.

1.    Know what type of silver it is

Silver comes in different forms and you can recognise this by the numbers you see engraved on the jewellery. You will either see .950 or .925. The rating of .925 is more sturdy and durable, while .950 needs polishing regularly to prevent tarnishing and keep it looking shiny. If you are unsure of what type you are dealing with, it’s a good idea to check with the jewellery store you brought it from for the full low down.

2.    Keep it away from moisture

Keeping silver dry is imperative if you want it to remain untarnished and prevent rusting. The more it comes into contact with water, the duller it will look. As the water isn’t pure, the chemicals in it can cause damage to your jewellery. So, if anything gets wet, it’s imperative to dry it straight away to keep it from tarnishing.

3.    Use a case always

When you are storing your accessories and especially if you are travelling with your sterling silver, you will want to get a cushioned box to put them in. This will prevent scratching and ensure your sterling silver stays protected and safe.

4.    Take it off when you can

If you’re doing any heavy-duty tasks or are planning to get your hands dirty, it’s the best time to take it off. You want to protect your gorgeous rings, bracelets and jewellery by taking the proper preventative measures. So, if you are planning to be sweating at the gym or using strong chemicals containing chlorine, you may want to give the jewellery a break.

When you follow these rules, you can rest assured that you will bring the best out of your silver jewellery and keep them in tip-top shape.

Tips on how to take care of curly hair

People with curly hair know how difficult it is to style their hair extensions and keep it healthy because curly hair is naturally dryer than straight hair and needs more care and attention. Here we have provided you with convenient and easy-to-follow tips on how to take care of your curly hair so it doesn't tangle, break and get too fizzy.
Try Co-Washing
this method is quite popular among people with curly hair and it doesn't really matter what type of curly you are. You can skip shampooing and apply only conditioner on your hair. This method is mainly preferred by women with tight curls which tend to get dry and frizzy. Bear in mind that co-washing doesn't clean your hair and it is also not recommended for people with dermatitis.
Bottom to Top
We highly recommend you comb your hair from the bottom to the top because in contrast with combing from top to bottom this method doesn't cause breakage. The average amount of strands of hair you will lose while brushing your hair after a shower is roughly 200 so make sure you take your time and start from bottom to top. Detangle your hair using your fingers and then you can use a wide-toothed comb to brush your hair.
Keratin For Stronger Hair
If you use Keratin hair mask regularly the end result is going to be stronger hair which is less likely to dry out and break. There are other products that will keep your curly hair intact, for example, frizz control serums, sculpting gels, moisturizers, creams, foams, silicone-based hair products, hair masks, conditioners, oils, T-shirts instead of towels, satin instead of cotton pillowcases and nightcaps. These are all small things and easy to find products that will keep your curls intact.

High Heat is a No-No
The best way to dry your hair is by simply letting it air dry because the high heat from the blow dryer can damage your hair and make it extremely dry. If your life is too hectic and you don't have time to let it air dry, you can at least set your blow dryer to cold air mode. In addition, make sure you attach diffuser on your blow dryer because it helps disperse the flow of air evenly resulting in less hair damage. We recommend you use blow dryer not more than twice a week.
Stick To One
You might have heard that changing hair products are good for your hair, however, that is, indeed, not the case with curly hair. Try different brands and choose the one you really believe in and stick to it.
Healthy Eating
This tip is more important than all the above-mentioned points combined together. A healthy and balanced diet reflects on your overall health, your energy levels, your mood, your skin, nails, and hair. Take care of your virgin hair from inside out by eating healthy and wholesome foods, keep yourself hydrated and get your regular exercises.
Humidifier
Buy a humidifier for your house or apartment which will keep the humidity in check. This will not only benefit the condition of your house in general but will also prevent any frizz, too.
Flat Ironing

If you feel like straightening your hair, make sure you spray your hair with a heat protectant prior to using a flat iron. In addition, your flat iron must be on a low heat setting. When flat ironing on more than 400 degrees you risk damaging your hair.
Dying Your Hair
Curly hair tends to retain color for a longer period of time than straight hair. This is why you can dye your roots roughly every 5 to 10 weeks, whereas you can dye full length roughly every 10 to 15 weeks. If you notice that your hair gets too thin then this means you have damaged your hair and it needs a short break from all the styling.
Undoubtedly, curly hair needs more time, care and attention because it is naturally dry and tends to break easily. Be more aware of the hair products you apply on your hair and how often you style it. Furthermore, our skin, nails, and hair are the last body parts to receive nutrients from the foods and supplements we consume so make sure you properly nourish your hair inside out with healthy, wholesome and balanced diet complemented by good quality curly lace wig products.
Don't forget, that we do offer curly hair extensions. They are easy to apply and might just look awesome on you! Give them a try.
